The school has three main fundraisers per year to support operations:

Walk-A-Thon - Students obtain donations to support our school. The students, teachers, parents and family members walk 5 miles the first Friday in October. Thanks to the support of family, friends, and community donations, the donations collected this year exceeded our goal of $16,000.
Cookie Bake - Order forms are sent out in early November. Parent and other adult volunteers make candy and bake thousands of dozens of cookies the last week in November. Cookies are picked up the first Saturday in December.
Spring Fundraiser - The past few years, the Spring Fundraiser has been a Raffle. Last year, we also added a breakfast on the day of the raffle drawing. The Stewardship Committee is working on ideas for this year’s Spring Fundraiser.

In addition, gifts toward scholarships or other donations are accepted at any time. To make a donation to the school, please contact the Principal at 968-7972.

SJAS has establish a tuition scholarship program. Currently, two $500 Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.

Contributions: Contributions to the Scholarship Fund are always welcome and appreciated. Long-range plans include increasing the number of Scholarships offered each year as the fund continues to grow. Contributions are from 1% of all school fundraisers, memorials, Home & School donations, and SJAS Alumni donations. If you would like to contribute, simply mail or drop off a donation designated, SJAS Scholarship Fund.
How the Funds are Invested: The funds are invested in local banks and through the Foley Area Foundation.
Applying for a Tuition Scholarship: Applications are sent to each family in the Spring of each year. Families who would like to be considered for a tuition scholarship should complete and return the application to the School Scholarship Committee in a sealed envelope by the date on the application form. The information contained in the form is kept strictly confidential.
Selection Process: The Scholarship Committee will review the applications and make a recommendation of recipients. All applicants will be notified by mail whether or not they received a scholarship.
