Dear Families,

Just a short note to give you some dates that you may like to have now rather than later! This information may be especially helpful to our new families that are unfamiliar with the normal school calendar. By the way, as of this date, SJAS is please to welcome 11 children to Kindergarten and 12 children to Pre-Kindergarten. It is early yet in the summer, and there is time to add more families to these classrooms! Word of mouth is a powerful tool and as parents you are the school's best spokespersons - talk about your child's school - often! It would be wonderful to add 4 more families each to Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten. Chances are you know someone that may be interested!

Some initial dates to get you started:

• Open house will be Thursday, September 3rd from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• First day of school will be Tuesday, September 8th for kindergarten - 6th grade.
• Early dismissal and Walk-a-thon Day is on Friday, October 2nd.
• No School on Thursday and Friday, October 15th and 16th for MEA.
• Early dismissal on Friday, November 6th.
• Parent/Teacher conferences on Tuesday and Thursday, November 17th and 19th.
• No School on Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th.
• No School on Thursday and Friday, November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving.
• No School from December 23rd through January 1st for Christmas Break.
