About the Classroom
K-3 students work primarily
on some gross and fine motor skills that help them develop skills
necessary for games. Students will play a variety of lead up
games in order to teach physical skills, game play and
sportsmanship. Some units covered with primary students are
scoops, parachute, soccer, scooters, jump ropes, kick ball, tball and
many others.
4-6 students work on
fundamentals as well, but start to work those more in to actual game
progression. Students typically spend the first few days of a
unit on skills and lead up games, then get in to the actual
games. Some units covered in the upper grades are football,
volleyball, soccer, basketball, kickball, softball and some others as
well.
