Service

Students engage in various acts of service grounded in Catholic Social Teaching throughout the school year at St. John's Area School.  These activities include, but are not limited to:

• Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, & 6th Grade: Care for God's Creatures
• 1st & 4th Grade: Basic Human Needs
• 2nd & 5th Grade: Senior Citizens

In addition to these core areas of focus, older students read to and help PreK students, all students make numerous cards throughout the year, engage in various food and clothing drives to support the CROSS Center and CARE, and commit to special projects during Advent and Lent.  This year, students supported:
 

• Light of Hope Kenya
• Catholic Relief Services
• CROSS Center
• Foley Community Expo
• The Gardens of Foley
• Tri-County Humane Society
