Worship

Students in grades 1-6 attend Mass twice each week, typically at the Church of St. John's in Foley.  Twice each year, students celebrate a school mass in one of the other six corporate parishes in the area.  On February 2nd, students celebrate a special Candlemas in the SJAS Gym.

All grades attend Mass on Wednesdays and Holy Days, including Kindergarten.  Students take an active role as altar servers, starting in 3rd grade, and in other liturgical roles such as lectors and gift bearers.  

Students also participate in daily prayer during Morning Meeting as well as several prayer services and devotional practices throughout the year such as a St. Francis of Assisi Prayer Service, Advent Prayer, Stations of the Cross, Adoration, the Rosary, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
